Pushed Deals

What would be the best way to view deals that have had their close dates pushed (i.e. could have moved closed date in qtr, not just slipped to future quarters) in a certain time period?  Flow only gives slipped deals where I would like to know which deals have had their close dates pushed?

I know we can visually see this on the opportunity grid but wondered if theres a better way to do this?

Hi @Mitesh Sedani ,

As you mentioned, Flow will display all deals that slipped outside of the time period selected in the module. Viewing the color-coding highlighting in the opportunity grid is the best way to spot these changes as they will appear in red when looking at Close Date (or any date field).

Here are some other thoughts/ideas that would require an additional field to be built on the opportunity record in Salesforce:

Last Push Date

  • A field can be created on the opportunity record called “Last Push Date” to stamp the date of the last time the opportunity was pushed out.
  • This field can be added to the opportunity grid and as a filter in Clari.
  • Filter values such as “Last 7 Days” (any presets that you want to define) can be created to view all opportunities that were pushed in a set period of time.
  • The field can then be used to create various reports, widgets on dashboards, etc.

Push Counter

  • Organizations have created a field called “Push Counter” in Salesforce which sums the number of times an opportunity has been pushed out.
  • This gives visibility to quickly spot risk in an opportunity/account based on the # of times an opportunity has been pushed out.
  • The field can then be added as a filter/group in Clari to create various reports, widgets on dashboards, etc.

If the above solutions do not give you the visibility you need to pushed deals, please add an Idea to the New Features & Ideas page: https://community.clari.com/ideas. This is a great space to add any feature ideas and upvote others!

Cheers!

@Justin Walter As we discussed, you can implement a “Push Counter” field to track the number of times an opportunity has been pushed out and bring that in your deal reviews
