Pulse: Close Date Filter for This Quarter

We have Close Date as a Filter in Pulse.  If we choose it to “This Quarter”, even if we have Pulse set to “How is This Quarter Shaping Up?” the metrics are different.

  1. Why are the metrics different if we have the Filter for Close Date = This Quarter turned on, than if we do not have it on?
  2. Should Close Date as a Filter be there in the first place?  If I choose Close Date = This Year, instead of This Quarter, if we don’t change the top section “How is This Year Shaping Up?”, the data still reflects this quarter.
