Forecast Call Not Required

There are some scenarios where the forecast call only needs to be made at a certain level in the hierarchy - e.g. only the individual ICs need to make the call, or maybe only the manager levels need to make the call.

It’d be great if we could mark a forecast call column as not required for a role type so that they dont see the red “x” if they don’t populate that forecast call.

Hi @jodie.lee .  I am double checking w/ the team to see if there’s a workaround today. In the meantime, I will share this with the product team. Thank you for taking the time to share your suggestions.

@jodie.lee  I just spoke to our team and guess what - you can do this today. We call it N-Level Forecasting. This can do two things: we can either set additonal forecast roles that correlate to additonal forecast formulas so we can show rollups based on different criteria for different roles. An example of this would be manager and VPs have two seperate in the call checkbox fields. For managers we could roll up the manager check in field and for vps we could roll up the vps check in field. We can also use this to exclude a column from showing up for certain roles. The end user that is excluded would not see this column at all. This would probably need to be scoped out in terms of the changes you want to make, but it is possible!
