Add Filter to Forecast module/Forecast summary

HI @Ariadne Smith,

Good day. 

Currently, we categorize pipeline to “closed”, “Forecast call”, “Upside”,and “Value Unassigned”. During the forecast call with sales leaders, we go through the category one by one by clicking the “Closed”, “Forecast call”, “Upside” on the left panel to talk through the deals with each category, but there is no “Value unassigned” category on the left panel. so we click “Pipeline Coverage” to review “Value Unassigned” Category. but it’s a aggregated view of all categories. it’s difficult to scan through all the “Value unassigned” deals.

Ask 

  • Option 1: Add filter “Value Unassigned” to panel on the left
  • Option 2: Add filter “Value Unassigned” to on the top of pipeline coverage.

Hi, Bobby — did you tag Ariadne here because you would like to share this as a potential product enhancement idea? If so, I can update your post to an idea, and our product team will review it and update the status to indicate where this fits in our roadmap! Just let me know.

Otherwise, I am wondering if you currently have a field for the Value Unassigned pipeline in your Forecast Grid. Totally understand it is an additional convenience to see them in the Expanded View as you inspect your pipeline, but curious if you have that aggregate number in your Forecast Tab before you open the expanded view.

Good question. Value Unassigned is not in the Forecast Grid. Is that the reason we do not have that category? The logic here is whenever there is no entry in the field either as “Forecast call”, “Upside”, i.e. leave it as blank. It defaults to “Value unassigned”. in the Expanded View, the “Value unassigned” pipeline are in the “Pipeline Coverage” and mxied together with “Forecast call” and “upside” pipeline.Basically the whole open pipeline.

Hi, Bobby! Sounds like you might have a use case for deal-level forecasting if you don’t do so already. It can be super beneficial in creating additional rigor around identifying which deals folks are including in their path to their number, and which ones their not, as well as facilitate the conversation as to why they think those deals are going to close or not.
