Takeaways

Takeaway 1: Clari's Analyze Modules are crucial tools for examining and understanding business trends and shifts.

Kenna explained, "Flow is one of our Analyze Modules...you can think of these as places where you can ask Clari questions about your business." Ryan added, "Waterfall is one of my favorite analytics modules...it really helps out in terms of visualizing what's happening within your pipeline."

Both modules offer different perspectives on business data. Flow focuses on how deals shift between stages or forecast categories, offering insights into pipeline movement at the deal level. On the other hand, Waterfall provides a detailed view of how many dollars have been added or removed from the open inventory of deals, making tracking of overall pipeline shifts easier.

Takeaway 2: The use of custom date ranges allows for specific data analysis.

Kenna and Ryan also emphasized the importance of utilizing custom date ranges to isolate specific data. Custom date ranges allow users to examine how deals have progressed within a certain time frame. Ryan pointed out, "We have a lot of preset options up here for the time range that you can look into. But typically what we do here...is use this custom date range”

Not only does this feature allow for more precise data analysis, but it also offers the ability to track changes in deals over specified periods. Kenna further explained, "The first drop down is ‘what deals do I care about?’ and the second drop down is’ what time frame do I want to look at the movement of those deals or my pipeline over?’. That first drop down is what's going to allow you to decide which deals matter to you."

Takeaway 3: Clari's resources and community platform provide vital support for users.

Clari provides a range of resources and a supportive community platform to help users maximize the benefits of its tools. Kenna stressed the value of the Clari Circle, which includes in-app guidance, a knowledge base, university, and a support team. "The circle is where we try to share those best practices, wins and learnings that we've picked up along the way. And it's your space to collaborate with those folks and other revenue professionals and Clari experts," they explained.

Ryan also highlighted the utility of the help resources available within the Clari Circle. He noted, "If you ever need to remember anything here, that's typically where we have it in our knowledge base." This combination of resources and a supportive community allows users to ask questions, share insights, and learn from each other, enhancing the overall user experience.

Insights surfaced

- Flow is useful for seeing how deals change between stages or forecast categories, helping to understand what has or hasn't moved in the pipeline at the deal level.

- Waterfall is excellent at showing how the pipeline has shifted from a monetary perspective, making it clear how many dollars have been added or removed from the open inventory of deals.

- The "Idle" bucket in Flow refers to deals that remained in the same status they started in within a certain timeframe.

- The in-product resources offer a "Questions to Ask Clari" feature that provides common or key questions that users can ask about their business, along with instructions on how to get the answers using Clari's modules.

- Clari University also provides a recommended 13-week cadence guide which suggests what questions to ask Clari throughout a quarter.
