Using your phone with the Dialer

Have you ever had a rep say, “But I want to use my cell/mobile phone to make calls”? We’ve heard this too, and we have a solution. Please ask your reps to follow the 4 steps below to route all their calls through their cell/mobile phone while still syncing them with Salesforce.

  1. Setting up your Verified Number:

When first setting up your dialer with Clari Groove, you will need to add a Clari Groove number in order to make and receive calls. However, you can also add a “Verified Number”, which can be used to utilize your personal cell/mobile phone for calls.

To set up your “Verified Number,” you will need to navigate to your Settings > Dialer > Verify a Number:

In this selection, the user will add the number that they would like to use with the dialer. Once the number has been entered, hit the “Verify” button:

IMPORTANT: Please include your area code prefix when entering your number (e.g. UK number +44)

Once you hit the “Verify” button, a 6-digit code will appear on your screen (see image below) and the device for the number you have entered will ring. Once you pick up the call, you will be prompted to enter the 6-digit code. Please follow the instructions on the call

Once the call has been completed, please refresh your browser page. You will now see your verified number here:

Once you have added your ‘Verified Number,’ you will have a number of choices to utilize the number for calls. After adding your Verified Number, you have several options for how it can be used. If you’d like to use your cell/mobile phone for calls—while ensuring your personal number is never shared with prospects—follow these next three steps:

 

  1. Caller ID:

In the ‘Caller ID’ option dropdown, please use your Groove number:

The number that is selected here is what callees will see on their devices when you execute your Omnidialer calls. We don’t want our prospects to have our personal numbers and this option ensures that they will only see our Groove number when making calls

 

  1. Bridge Dial/Outbound Calls:

Please enable the ‘Bridge Dial’ option through the toggle on the right. Once it is enabled, please select your ‘Verified Number’ in the dropdown:

Selecting your ‘Verified Number’ here will ensure that all Outbound calls will be bridged to the device associated with your ‘Verified Number’. Allowing you to use your cell/mobile phone for Outbound calls

 

  1. Call Forwarding/Inbound Calls:

Please enable the ‘Call Forwarding’ option through the toggle on the right. Once it is enabled, please select your ‘Verified Number’ in the dropdown:

Selecting your ‘Verified Number’ here will ensure that all Inbound calls to your Groove number are also forwarded to the device associated with your ‘Verified Number’. This enables you to answer and take the call from either your OmniDialer or the device associated with your ‘Verified Number’.

 

By following the steps above, all of your calls will be connected to your Groove Dialer and synced to Salesforce, but the actual calls will always be routed through your cell/mobile phone.
