Hello Clari Community! We are excited to announce the release of the Context Widget - a new dashboard widget to help provide guidance in your Dashboards.

💡 Why did we build the Context widget?

Many dashboard users, especially those outside of admin or RevOps teams, may not be familiar with all the widgets or know how to use the data to drive specific outcomes. This often leads to admins having to repeatedly explain how to use the data and what actions to take.

✅ How can this new widget help?

The context widget solves this by allowing you to add guidance directly into the dashboard. This helps users understand how to leverage the data, prepare for important conversations like forecast calls or pipeline reviews, and get everyone on the same page faster.

For example, a waterfall summary is a very useful widget that shows how a pipeline has moved, but for a less-familiar user, it may be unclear how to use this data. But with a context widget providing guidance, sales teams can show up to a call prepared with an action plan instead of trying to figure out what to do with the data during the call itself.

🚀 How to use the Context widget

  1. Explain how to use a dashboard or specific widget: Give users instructions on how to use a particular widget, like the waterfall summary, and the outcome to drive from it.
  2. Centralize resources: Include links to helpful templates or videos that are typically stored in static slide decks, bringing all the guidance directly into the dashboard.
  3. Set expectations: Provide an overview of the dashboard's insights and what's expected of end-users, like prepping for a QBR using the insights from a QBR dashboard.

By providing guidance with context widgets, dashboards can become more effective in driving the behavior change and preparation you want to see across the sales org.
