You don’t always know every member of the buying team, so Align supports Domain Allow Lists (also known as domain whitelisting)

  1. Seller adds domain(s) to the Allow List
  2. Buyer puts their email into the login field on the "Front Door" of the collaboration space
  3. If their email matches a whitelist, then we email them an access link
  4. Buyer clicks the link from email to get into the workspace
  5. If it doesn't match, we send an email to the Seller saying "so and so wants to access in" but we don't let them in unless Seller authorizes

Or put another way, there are three possible outcomes when someone enters their email at the front door of a collaboration space.

  1. They are on the Buyer Team. They get sent a new magic link
  2. They are not on the Buyer Team, but whitelist is on for their domain. We send them a magic link and they're in. We tell Seller
  3. They are not on the Buyer Team, no whitelist or their domain isn’t on the whitelist. They get nothing. We tell seller this person is trying to get in

This is a one-time process since Align will remember the person. As long as they’re using the same browser on the same computer they won’t need to request a magic link each time
