What is Dynamic Partner Filtering?
In layman's terms, this is how Clari prevents partner activity data from appearing in the wrong places.
By using a field value on the account record, we can associate the account and all domains within that account, including contacts on the account, as partners. Typically, you can share the "account.type" or "account.recordtype.name" field values with Clari Support and the necessary field values can be filtered out for prospective/customer activity.
For example, you may pass Clari Support the values that are Account Type = Partner, Partner: Prospective, Customer/Partner, Partner/Prospect, etc.
Share the above details with Clari Support, who will work with our internal teams to get you that Partner data dynamically filtered.
Let’s go through a few scenarios to review how Clari would handle some common situations.
What if…
There are duplicate contacts that fit the same criteria?
Per the "Unique Matches" section of the linked doc, we can have Autocapture configured to only write to an account or opportunity if Clari is certain which account or opportunity it belongs with. If Clari is not certain where it belongs, it skips writing it back.
There are duplicate contacts associated with multiple (different) accounts?
This is where "Tiebreakers" come in and is highly dependent on how your Autocapture's settings have been configured. If you’re not sure how you’ve set up tiebreakers, you can check the Matching Logic Settings in the Autocapture Module.
The contact(s) doesn’t exist?
Contact is created and added to the correct account based on their domain and using Autocapture's matching logic. This can vary depending on how Autocapture is configured.
The contact exists, but assigned to the wrong account?
This will depend on your configuration for Autocapture. If you allow for duplicate contacts across accounts, then Autocapture can and will add the same contact to multiple accounts, assuming there's a match.
