If you are tracking products/product families in your CRM, you might be interested in evolving your forecasting process to be more precise and segment forecasting by products. 💡

Clari can help you achieve this by configuring the Forecast module to surface insights about your Products. Here is a quick introduction to this concept in Clari as well as what to expect operationally:

  1. Introduction: Watch the Product Level Forecasting Webinar (15MIN, + Q&A)
  2. Review the post, How do I forecast by products?
  3. Confirm answers to the following basic requirements:
    • Product Filters  - How do you define each product or product line?
    • Product Filter Segment - Are products also bundled into 'product families'?
    • Relevant Amount - What amount field do you aggregate on?
    • Forecasting Cadence - Who is responsible, is a Forecast call required?

Example from Clari Demo Environment:

THE DISCOVERY PROCESS: WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT?

Now that you’ve learned some of the basics and consolidated the foundations of what is required, for new forecasting use-cases we recommend approaching this by:

  • Schedule a Discovery Call with your CSM/SE to review your requirements
    • Confirm 'What is the end goal?' for the new Forecast Motion
    • Identify which teams expect the value add
    • Define what net-new is being built: [IE: New Mode, New Forecast Tab]
    • Know what your timeline is to deliver to the business
  • Assess configuration process: Self-Serve (DIY with CSM Consult) or, Done for you (SOW- Professional Services Managed )
