Hello,

I have been struggling to figure out activity reporting within Clari and hope the community can help.

Our Business model is directly built off of team selling and our outbound efforts are a mix of SDR, AE, and leadership. So we purposefully gave all team members capture licences to ensure we are tracking all meetings/calls, regardless of if the AE is in attendance.

We would like to understand specifically what are the number of engagements per account regardless of role.

I would expect that if capture is collecting all activity and is pushing it to SFDC, it could also build a report with this same information.

However, when I build an “All engaged” report and filter by an reps view, all the activity aside from theirs disappears.

Is there an easy way to see by Rep (aka. territory) what are the active accounts and EVERYONE who is engaged in those accounts? Is there a better way to see this information?

Thanks!

Hi, @Jeanine Thrasher!

I think you’re on the right track. You can use All Engaged Accounts mode in the Accounts Module to view all activities captured regardless of the user, matched to the appropriate accounts, irrespective of account ownership.

Based on the hierarchy selection you make in the Scope, however, you’ll get all the activities from users below the selected node, matched to the best fit account regardless of ownership.

It sounds like you selected All Engaged Accounts, and then selected a rep in the Scope, which would then limit your view to that rep’s activities across all the accounts they are engaged in (if I’m understanding correctly!).

In this case I think I would recommend using your Filters in the Accounts Module to help you filter by for Accounts in the specific business segment(s) you’re interested in (e.g. if you have a field on the account record that you could add to your filters to help you choose accounts in a specific territory/territories).

Thanks Kenna,

Only problem is that I cannot use that filter on a dashboard. If this is the solution I would have to create 1 dashboard per rep, which would translate to 16 dashboards for 1 view. I’d be asking the executive suite to switch between 16 dashboards?

Because we can’t add filters on dashboards, every view has to be custom.

Any solutions that currently exist for this?

Hi, Jeanine! Just to make sure I’m clear, is the goal here to select a rep and then see all activity on every account owned by that rep (whether the activity is from the rep or another role)?

Correct.

User story would be:

As a Sales Manager I want to be able to understand what activity has been completed within my reps target prospect accounts so that I can better understand where they and their extended support team are spending their effort and what the results (ie. emails received/meetings booked) are.

Thanks, Jeanine. For your use case, it may be worthwhile to discuss with your CSM if enabling Team Selling Mode is right for you.

Thanks Kenna. We have activated that view and it is still not showing even the basics without special filtering.

Seems like a missed opportunity for product to not be able to filter by account owner in dashboards.

Current solution proposed by support/CSM is to create the DB by rep.
