There are three ways we measure your engagement in the community:

  • Points
  • Ranks
  • Badges

Wondering how they work? We've got you covered! 🥳

Points

You earn points purely for engaging with the community. Points are what put you on the leaderboard, and may even contribute to your ability to earn certain ranks and badges. Here’s how they work:

  • Earn 15 points for creating a topic (conversation, question, or idea)
  • Earn 10 points for replying to a topic (conversation, question, or idea)
  • Earn 20 points for answering a question (marked as best answer to a question)
  • Earn 5 points for receiving a like (on a conversation or a question) or an upvote (on an idea)
  • Earn 5 points for liking a topic (conversation, question) or upvoting an idea

Ranks

Your rank measures your journey from new member to a member of the inner circle. You will climb through the ranks as you accumulate topics/replies created, answers marked best, likes given and received, and points earned. The ranks are as follows:

  1. New Member

  2. New Contributor

  3. Engaged Member

  4. Regular Contributor

  5. Esteemed Contributor

  6. Expert Contributor

  7. Thought Leader

  8. Community Guru

  9. Community Superstar

  10. Inner Circle Member

Note: sometimes you may skip a rank, this is because you performed an action which is typically associated with a higher rank.

You can see someone's rank in their profile, or in any thread they have posted in, and you can learn a lot from it: the higher the rank, generally the more helpful and active the member has been in the community.

Badges

You can earn badges by engaging in specific behaviors. So, a community member who has submitted lots of great ideas could earn an Ideator badge, or a member who responds to other people’s questions with the best answer could earn a Guru badge.
